Northern Tier Sports ReportLIBERTY — Wyalusing clinched their first NTL wrestling title since 2019 with a 60-13 win over NP-Liberty on Tuesday.
The Rams are undefeated in the league on the season with just a home match with Williamson left on Thursday. The only one loss team is Athens, whom Wyalusing beat, and thus have the tie-breaker.
Bostyn McMicken (127), Cole Patrick (133), Griffin Sheldon (139), Ethan Vanderpool (189), and Daniel Fox (215) all had falls, as Conner Earle (172) won by injury default.
All the falls were in the first period.
Reuben Kinney (145), Jonathan Earle (152), Holden Patrick (160), and Brenden Wells (285) all scored forfeits.
The Mounties won the first three bouts as Bodhi Nickerson (107) scored a 14-4 major over Logan Wood, Charles Aumick (114) had an 8-6 decision against Austin Jones, and Bryce Pequignot (121) notched a fall over Isaiah Harvey in 5:31.
It was all Wyalusing after that as they claimed the final 10 weights.
The Rams will host Williamson on Thursday with Hall of Fame night, and Senior Night.
