NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: MAYNARD'S BIG NIGHT LEADS NEB PAST NP-MANSFIELD (2026-01-21)

MANSFIELD — Mallorie Maynard had a career night as NEB pulled away from NP-Mansfield, 56-32, during NTL girls’ hoops action on Tuesday.

The Panthers led 12-7 after one, then pushed their advantage to 27-14 at the half. 

A 15-6 third quarter in their favor secured the win.

Maynard flirted with a triple-double as she had a career high 23 points, to go with nine boards, and nine steals, while adding three blocks.

Aurelia Kolesar added 14 points, five boards, and three steals, as Leah Beebe had four points, 15 assists, six boards, and four steals.

Kara Dughi notched 10 points, five boards, and three steals, while Katrina Russell netted five points to go with six rebounds, and two steals.

Kameron Lightner led NPM with 14 points.

Maynard netted six to lead NEB in the first quarter, then hit two 3-balls in the second, while Kolesar notched five, to give them the 13 point lead at the half.

The two flip-flopped in the third - Kolesar had six, Maynard scored five - as NEB continued to pull away.

Maynard ended the game strong, hitting two 3-balls, as the Panthers closed out the win.

NEB (10-2) will host Athens on Thursday.
