Northern Tier Sports ReportCANTON — Towanda pulled away from Canton for a 68-19 win during NTL boys’ hoops action Friday.
The Knights led 20-7 after one, then extended that lead to 46-11 at the half.
Boom Thompson, and Lucas Vincent had 14 points each to lead Towanda, as Keegan Stroud netted 11.
Landon Clark, and Darrius Farrell both netted eight, as Graham Welles had five points.
Markell Garner scored four, with Josh Maye, and Hudson Stevens each adding two.
Monte Whitehead netted eight for Canton, with Payton Best adding five. Ryder Route had four, with Kix Carr netting two.
Vincent led the Knights in the first quarter, netting 12 of his 14 while Best hit a 3-ball for the Warriors.
Thompson hit two 3-pointers in the second en route to eight points to lead Towanda to their big halftime advantage.
Towanda would out score Canton 22-8 in the second half.
Towanda (13-3) travels to NEB on Wednesday, while Canton (0-16) is slated to host Williamson on Monday.
