NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: NEB USES STRONG SECOND QUARTER TO DOWN CV (2026-01-25)

ROME — NEB ran away from CV early, beating the Indians 64-28, during NTL girls’ hoops action Saturday.

The Panthers led 21-10 after one, then held CV scoreless in the second quarter as they ok a 38-10 lead at the half. A 13 point third quarter secured the win for them.

Leah Beebe had 16 points, seven assists, four rebounds, and five steals to lead the Panthers, as Aurelia Kolesar added 15 points, six boards, four assists, and three steals.

Kara Dughi had 12 points, five boards, and three steals, with Mallorie Maynard getting a double-double of 10 points, and 12 rebounds, to go with four assists, five steals, and two blocks.

Sarah Gray added five points, with Katrina Russell, Izzy Kapr, and Sydney Howland all scoring two points each.

In the first Kolesar had six points, with Beebe netting five as they led the Panther charge.

NEB would net 17 second quarter points as they extended the lead behind five points from Maynard.

The Panthers scored 16 points in the second half, led by Beebe, who netted seven, while Dughi and Maynard both scored six.

NEB (12-2) travels to Towanda on Tuesday.
