Northern Tier Sports ReportSullivan County’s Andrew Kapec earned his 100th career win as he took eighth at the Ultimate Warrior Tournament on Saturday.
Kapec (133), and Carter Reis (285) both took eighth at the tournament.
Kapec lost his first match 2-0, then won five straight to get into the medals.
The first was a 17-1 tech fall, then came four straight first period falls.
He lost a 15-0 tech fall, then fell 8-2 in the seventh place bout to go 5-3.
Reis opened up with two straight falls, then lost 4-0 in the quarterfinals.
He won 10-1 in the blood round, then lost 4-2, and 16-0 to go 3-3.
Luca Zelewicz (114) went 3-2, with Tucker Evans (160), and Wyatt Gabley (139) finished 1-2.
Chase Preston (145), Dylan Gilbert (127), and John Tavor (152) all went 0-2.
