Northern Tier Sports ReportMONTGOMERY — Canton rolled past Montgomery, 47-14, during non-league girls’ hoops action.
The Warriors led just 11-5, but then used a 23-0 run in the second quarter to pull away.
Cailyn Van Noy had 16 points, eight steals, four boards, and three assists, as Stella Rockwell added 15 points, five steals, and three assists.
Brenna Van Noy notched five points, with Danah Wesneski, and Lydia Roupp adding four points each. Wesneski also had three steals.
Alexis McRoberts finished with three steals, 12 boards, and two steals.
Emma McGhee had four boards, and two steals, Daveian Crowley and Cheyenne Fitch each finished with five boards.
Cailyn Van Noy led the attack in the first quarter, netting seven of her team’s 11 points.
Her teammates picked things up in the second, with Rockwell leading the way behind a 7-point effort. Wesneski, and Cailyn Van Noy each scored four to build the 34-5 lead at the half.
Canton out scored Montgomery 10-7 in the third behind five points from both Rockwell, and Cailyn Van Noy.
