Northern Tier Sports ReportHERNDON — Line Mountain pulled away late as they defeated NEB, 53-24, during the first round of District IV Duals Wednesday.
Mason Alexander (114), Alex Gomez (145), Connor Eastabrook (152), and Kale Howland (160) all had falls for the Panthers.
Mark Carta (107), Ace Shipe (121), Nolan Savage (172), Jacob Schwalm (215), and Jackson Kauwen (285) all scored forfeits for Line Mountain, as Brock Rothermel (127), Cody Mirarchi (133), and Jordan Shingara (139) each had falls.
Cade Feger (189) earned a tech fall.
Carta opened with a forfeit, but Alexander came back to pin Landis Keefer in 21 seconds to knot things up at six.
Shipe’s forfeit, followed by Rothermel’s fall over Maddex Rooker in 38 seconds, Mirarchi’s pin over Hunter Comstock in 3:34, and Shingara’s pin over Williams Chappell in 34 seconds put Line Mountain up 30-6.
NEB rallied in the middle weights as Gomez pinned David Rissinger in 21 seconds, Eastabrook pinned Waylon Shaffer in 2:56, and Howland pinned Ethan Lenker in 3:23 to cut it to 30-24.
That’s as close as it got.
Savage would score a forfeit, followed by Feger’s 16-1 tech fall over Asher Kolesar in 5:12.
Shwalm, and Kauwen finished out the match with back to back forfeits.
