NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: TROY RALLIES IN FOURTH TO TOP NP-LIBERTY (2026-01-28)

LIBERTY — Troy rallied from a deficit going into the fourth to top NP-Liberty, 59-55, during NTL boys’ hoops action Wednesday.

“The guys played really hard,” said Troy coach Craig Sheeley. “They battled through adversity, and played together. We are excited for our next opportunity to play on Friday.”

The win, coupled with Towanda’s loss to NEB, puts the Trojans one game of the division lead as the Knights, Athens, and NP-Mansfield fall into a 3-way tie at the top.

The Mounties led 43-41 going into the fourth when Troy out scored them 18-12 to get the win.

Spencer Martin had 20 points, six assists, and two charges taken for the Trojans, as Trey Teribury added 12 points, two steals, and one big fourth quarter dunk.

Pryor Teribury notched eight points, and four boards, with Aiden Lawrence scoring five points. Josiah Pesesky had four points to go with 12 rebounds, and three steals, as Cameron Morey also scored four points.

James Roy, and Evan Allen both scored two points.

Luke Kreger had 21 to lead NPL.

NPL jumped out to a 12-6 first quarter lead, while in the second Troy found the range with three 3-balls - two from Trey - to cut it to 22-21 at the half.

Both offenses were firing in the third with the Mounties out scoring Troy 21-20. Martin had 10 points for the Trojans as Pryor netted six - both had a pair of 3-balls.

In the fourth six different Troy players scored, led by six from Martin, and four out of Trey, to get the win.

Troy (10-6) will host Wyalusing on Friday with a 7:30 p.m. start.
