Northern Tier Sports ReportTROY — Forfeits did Troy in as they fell to Jersey Shore, 36-33, during their non-league dual meet on Thursday.
The matches were tied 6-6, but the Bulldogs used four forfeits, and two falls to down Troy. The Trojans had five falls, and a decision.
Garret Parks (107), Keagan Kerr (127), Wilder Koch (139), Logunn Heasley (145), and Reed Palmer (285) all had falls for Troy as Hunter Watson (152) scored a decision.
Gabriel Fisher (121), Talin Kline (133), Tobias Margret (160), and Bo Sechrist (189) all had forfeits, while Jonathan Dincher (172), and Aiden Patts (215) both scored falls for Jersey Shore.
There was a double forfeit at 114.
Parks opened up with a fall in 1:44 over Travis Merrill, while Fischer’s forfeit tied things up at 6-6.
Kerr would get a 31 second fall over Draylen Phillips, but Kline’s forfeit kept it tied.
The Trojans then went on a 15-0 run as Koch pinned Colton Gordner in 1:15, Heasley pinned Ben Lovell in 1:30, while Watson used two near fall points in the third period to edge Louden Spotts 2-0.
Down 27-12 Jersey Shore won the next four bouts to seal the win.
Margret started the rally with a forfeit, followed by Dincher pinning Thomas Moon in 1:44. Sechrist then put Jersey Shore up 30-27 with his forfeit, followed by Patts pinning James Deakin in 1:38 to seal the win.
Palmer finished things off with a 42 second fall over Isaac Shirey.
