Northern Tier Sports ReportSAYRE — NEB jumped out to a 30-3 first quarter lead en route to a 60-8 win over Sayre during NTL girls hoops action Thursday.
Mallorie Maynard had a double-double of 18 points and 12 boards to go with four assists, as Leah Beebe notched 16 points, eight assists, four steals, and four rebounds.
Katrina Russell had nine points with nine rebounds, as Kara Dughi notched eight points, and four steals.
Aurelia Kolesar finished with four points, four boards, and two blocks, while Karmyn McPherson added three points, and Janna Laudermilch notched two. Sara Gray chipped in with two steals.
Rylee Lantz led Sayre with five points.
In the opening frame Maynard had 10 points with Dughi scoring six, and Beebe netting five.
The Panthers out scored Sayre 17-0 in the second as Beebe hit three 3-balls en route to nine points.
NEB will host Bloomsburg on Saturday.
