Northern Tier Sports ReportTROY — Troy rolled past NP-Mansfield 59-27 during NTL girls’ hoops action Saturday.
The Trojans led 17-7 after the first quarter, then pushed that lead to 33-14 at the half.
The Tigers kept it close in the third, with Troy out scoring them 15-13, but the Trojans put the clampers on in the fourth as they held NPM scoreless in the fourth.
Kyah Renzo shot 8-for-12 for 22 points to lead Troy while adding eight boards, and eight steals.
Giana Renzi scored 14 points to go with four boards, four assists, and three steals, as Raelyn Woodward netted 10 points to go with eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Izzy Renzi finished with six points, four boards, and four assists, as Emma Mickley notched four points, and six boards.
Kyli Oldroyd chipped in with three points.
Renzo came out of the gates firing, scoring 12 points in the first quarter.
In the second Troy hit four 3-balls, two from Giana, to take the 19 point lead at the half.
Giana and Renzo combined for 10 points in the third quarter, while in the fourth the Trojans hit three 3-pointers.
Troy (17-3) will wrap up the regular season when they host Wellsboro on Monday.
