NTL WRESTLING: TOWANDA'S EVANS REACHES NE REGIONAL SEMIS (2026-02-27)

WILLIAMSPORT — Towanda Gage Evans reached the semifinals of the Northeast Regional Tournament on Friday.

Evans (145) got two wins on the first day - beating Southern Columbia’s Gavin Richard 7-0 in the prelims, then scoring an 8-2 win over Lackawanna Trail’s Mark Rebmann in the quarters.

He gets Midd-West’s Charley Paige in the semifinals.

Bryghton Yale (133) and Hagen Jones (139) both fell into the consolations.

Yale opened with a 10-1 win over Hughesville’s Ethan Wodrig in the prelims, but then got pinned by Mifflinburg’s Bradley Wagner in 1:06 during the quarters. He gets Muncy’s Kase Snyder in the consolations.

Jones opened with an 11-2 win over Montgomery’s AJ Kroft in the prelims, but then got pinned by Mid-Valley’s Matthew Almedina in the quarters in 39 seconds. He gets Lewisburg’s Nolan Altoft in the first round of consolations.

Wrestling begins at 9 a.m. back down at Williamsport.
