NTL GIRLS TRACK & FIELD: WYALUSING FALLS IN CLOSE MEET WITH NP-M, DEFEATS NEB (2026-03-26)

WYALUSING — Wyalusing fell to North Penn-Mansfield in a close meet, but defeated Northeast Bradford in NTL girls track & field action held at Peterson Stadium here Tuesday.

NP-M posted a score of 86.5, Wyalusing tallied 84.5 and Northeast had 15.

The Rams had a pair of double winners in the individual events. Sierra Gromley took the discus with a throw of 71-2 and the shot put with a heave of 26-1 while Jenna Morningstar won the high jump, reaching a height of 4-8, and leapt 15-1 ¼ to capture the long jump.

Vayda Rought won the 100-meter dash in 13.48 seconds, Lia Fischer took the 100 hurdles with a time of 18.53 seconds and Megan King claimed the 300 hurdles in 56.24 seconds. Lia Hart cleared six feet even to win the high jump.

Wyalusing’s second-place finishers were Aleta O'Connor in the 200 (:30.86) and 400 (1:11.07), Ava King in the high jump (4-0), Alyssa Neagle in the pole vault (5-6), Fischer in the triple jump with a distance of 30-11 ½, Camryn Gesford in the javelin (69-1), the 4x400 relay (5:13.43), the 4x800 relay (11:34.95) and the 4x100 relay (:54.45).

Northeast Bradford’s Sophie Bennett recorded a trio of runner-up efforts, clocking 2:57.5 in the 800, running a 6:09.66 in the 1600 and posting a time of 13:19.66 in the 3200.

Coming in third for Wyalusing were Gesford in the 800 (2:58.76), Storey Newell in the pole vault (5-6), King in the triple jump (29-2 ½) and Taydin Gardner in the javelin (67-4).

Leah Beebe was third in the 200 with a time of 31.14 seconds as was Beth Bartlett in the 300 hurdles (1:13.7). The 4x800 placed third in 11:51.99 and the 4x100 was third with a time of 59.69 seconds.
