Northern Tier Sports ReportTROY — The Towanda boys edged out Troy to pick up two NTL dual meet wins to open the track and field season.
The Knights scored 73 points to Troy’s 68, while Williamson finished with 48.
On the girls’ side Williamson (77) won followed by Towanda (61) and Troy (48).
For the boys Towanda’s Jazick Brown won the 100 (11.82) followed by Williamson’s Josh Teague (11.91) and Troy’s Jasper Miller (11.99).
Brown won the 200 (23.97) with Williamson’s Jeavon Eick (24.72) and Miller (24.74) in second and third.
Brown (52.02) took the 400 title, as well, with Eick (55.42) and Troy’s Lucas Norton (58.71) in second and third.
Troy’s Mason Wulff (2:16.71) won the 800 with Knights Phillip Spinney (2:19.86) and Quentin Little (2:21.06) in second and third.
Towanda’s Emmett Klees (5:00.39) won the 1600 with Wulff (5:05.22) and Little (5:05.94) second and third.
Troy went 1-2 in the 3200 with Brody Campbell (12:14.56) and RJ Bellinger (12:38.83).
Towanda’s Aiden Blokzyl (18.61) won the 110 hurdles followed by Teague (20.04) and Troy’s Isaac Gates (21.19).
Teague (46.21) won the 300 hurdles with Blokzyl (49.66) second, and Gates (50.72) in third.
The Trojans won all three relays: 4x100 (48.44), 4x400 (3:59.74) and 4x800 (9:37.90).
Troy’s Cameron Morey won the high jump (5-feet, 10-inches) with Williamson’s Anthony Hargarther (5-feet, 4-inches), and Towanda’s Kole Heyer (5-feet, 4-inches) and Keegan Stroud (5-feet, 4-inches) all tied for second.
Morey (19-feet, 10-inches) won the long jump with Stroud (18-feet, 5 1/2-inches) in second.
Morey also took the triple jump (48-feet, 11 1/2-inches).
Towanda’s Tanner Vanderpool (10-feet) won the pole vault with Williamson’s Troy Madison (9-feet) and Trojan Ben Osgood (8-feet) in second and third.
Towanda’s Dom Miller (111-feet) won the discus followed by Williamson’s Jacob Johnson (97-feet, 8-inches) and Knight Lake Strickland (96-feet, 8-inches).
Troy’s Timothy Hornung (116-feet, 3-inches) won the Jav with Miller (107-feet) in second, and Johnson (105-feet, 1-inch) in third.
Towanda went 1-2 in the shot put with Markell Garner (39-feet, 11-inches) and Miller (38-feet). Troy’s Seth Feldmeier (36-feet, 8-inches) was third.
For the girls Troy’s Elle Spalding (14.16) won the 100 with Williamson’s Elizabeth O’Neil (14.16) and Towanda’s Reese Sullivan (14.45) in second and third.
Troy went 1-2 with Haylie Davies-Grove (29.64) and Spalding (30.40) as Sullivan (30.57) was third. Black Knight Mary-Kate Eberlin (5:53.32) won the 1600.
In the 100 hurdles O’Neil (18.53) won followed by Towanda’s Katelyn Blokzyl (18.79) and Troy’s Kylee Roy (19.06).
Towanda’s Karis Flynn (54.45) won the 300 hurdles followed by Troy’s Zyra Houghson (57.65) and O’Neil (1:00.96).
Troy won the 4x100 (56.04) and 4x400 (5:02.15).
Towanda’s Natalyn Morris (4-feet, 10-inches) won the high jump with Williamson’s Raegan VanGorden (4-feet, 8-inches) and Knight Kennedy Heyer (4-feet, 6-inches) in second and third. Houghson (15-feet, 5-inches) took second in the long jump.
Williamson’s Anna Lee (31-feet, 3 1/2-inches) won the triple jump followed by Houghson (30-feet, 8 1/2-inches) and Roy (29-feet 10 1/2-inches).
Towanda went 1-2 in the pole vault with Cheyenne Morgan (7-feet) and Allexys Shaffer (6-feet).
Black Knight Mya Maynard (94-feet, 5-inches) won the discus.
Towanda swept the javelin with Brynn Woodruff (103-feet, 5-inches), Maynard (81-feet, 10-inches), and Eliana Cook (79-feet 6-inches).
Cook (32-feet, 1-inch) and Maynard (30-feet) went 1-2 in the shot put.
