Northern Tier Sports ReportCANTON — Canton’s Alexis McRoberts and Lawrence Halbfoerster both came away with wins at the Kirby Classic on Thursday.
McRoberts rebroke her shot put record, winning the event in 39-feet, 2-inches, while Halbfoerster won the 3200 in 10:03.25, while also taking second in the 1600 (4:35.61).
Also on the boys side Wyatt Hilton was third in the discus (117-feet) and fourth in the shot put (42-feet, 8-inches), as John Whitehead took eighth in the 300 hurdles (47.4).
The 4x800 was fourth in 9:58, while the 4x400 took eighth in 4:05.94.
For the girls Daveian Crowley was second in the 400 (1:04.36) and took seventh in the 200 (29.45), as Stella Rockwell was sixth in the triple jump (31-feet, 1 1/2-inches) and seventh in the long jump (14-feet).
Emilia Pepper took sixth in the javelin (79-feet, 5-inches) and eighth in the shot put (29-feet, 1/2-inch).
Danah Wesneski was third in the 300 hurdles (51.85) while Kendall Petrowski took fifth in the discus (85-feet, 4-inches).
The 4x100 relay was fourth in the 53.93.
The girls were seventh with 44 points, while the boys came in eighth with 36 points
