Northern Tier Sports ReportTIOGA JUNCTION — Canton had their best pitching performance of the season as they 2-hit Williamson for a 4-0 win during NTL baseball action Thursday.
Canton got on the scoreboard with a run in the fourth, then pushed three across in the fifth.
Daniel Inman started, and went four innings with six strikeouts, two walks, and one hit, while Rylan Wesneski finished out, striking out three with one walk, and one hit.
Inman also had a good day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Aaden Dowling (2-for-3) had a double.
Bailey Gardner (1-for-2) had a hit with a run scored, as Wesneski, and Reed Taylor also scored runs. Carson Castle (1-for-4) had an RBI as Trapper Burr (1-for-3) also had a hit.
In the fourth Taylor would walk, followed by a Dowling double. Taylor later scored on a Castle ground out for the 1-0 lead.
Wesneski led off the fifth with a walk, then scored on a Gardner double. Burr kept things going with a hit, followed by Inman driving in Gardner. After a walk to Taylor, and single from Dowling pinch runner Brayden Tucker scored on a Castle single.
