Northern Tier Sports ReportNEW MILFORD — Wyalusing used some late game offense to down Blue Ridge, 7-4, during non-league softball action Saturday.
The Rams led 1-0 after the first, and it stayed like that until the top of the fifth, when Wyalusing pushed four more runs across.
Blue Ridge battled back with three runs in the bottom half, then the two teams traded runs in the sixth. The Rams got another insurance run in the top of the seventh.
Addisyn Bly (3-for-5) had a double with a run scored, and an RBI, as Kirra Millard (2-for-4) also had a multi-hit game.
Treanna Nickeson scored twice, with Emily Johns (1-for-4), Riley O’Connor (1-for-4), Elli Adams, and Raelea Harvey (1-for-2) all crossed home, as well.
Addison Fluck (1-for-3) had a hit as Kya Carpenter drove in a run.
Fluck struck out nine to get the win, allowing two walks, two hits, and four runs.
In the first Bly opened up the game with a single, then later scored on a passed ball for the early lead.
In the fifth Nickeson reaches don a walk, followed by a Millard single. Carpenter then drove in Nickeson on a ground out, then Adams scored on a passed ball for a 3-0 lead.
Johns and O’Connor had back to back hits to restart the rally, followed by the two scoring off errors for a 5-0 lead.
In the sixth Nickeson reached on an error then scored on a fielder’s choice, while Wyalusing’s final run in the seventh came when Harvey reached on an error, then scored on Bly’s double.
