Northern Tier Sports ReportWYALUSING — Wyalusing earned a pair of tri-meet wins on a cold April day during NTL track and field action Tuesday.
The Lady Rams racked up 103 points, followed by Canton (31) and Towanda (29), while the Wyalusing boys scored 94 points, with Towanda (43) edging out Canton (42) for second.
In the boys’ 100 Towanda’s Layk Brown (11.96) won followed by Wyalusing’s Tyler Caplan (12.06) and Jonathan Earle (12.31).
Canton’s Chase Petrowski (24.72) won the 200 with Wyalusing’s Dominic Trowbridge (24.82) second, and fellow Warrior John Whitehead (25.78) third.
Canton swept the 400 with Lawrence Halbfoerster (55.13), Manuel Halbfoerster (57.39), and Landon Lake (57.91).
Lawrence Halbfoerster (2:15.36) held off Towanda’s Emmett Klees (2:18.41) to win the 800, with Lake (2:32.44) third.
Wyalusing went 1-2 in the 1600 with Bradyn Johnson (5:42.34) and Cody Tuttle (5:43.27), as Canton’s Henry Proseus (6:08.93) was third. Ram Cooper Meyer won the 3200 in 14:51.76.
Wyalusing’s Jack Fischer (17.43) beat out Whitehead (17.85) for second in the 110 hurdles, as Towanda’s Aiden Blokzyl (18.08) was third.
Fischer (46.72) and Tuttle (51.44) went 1-2 in the 300 hurdles.
Wyalusing won the 4x100 (47.68) and the 4x800 (10:25.90) as Canton won the 4x400 (3:53.10).
Wyalusing’s Dylan Johns (6-feet, 4-inches) won the high jump, with Twoanda’s Keegan Stroud (5-feet, 10-inches) second, and Ram James Weaver (5-feet, 6-inches) third.

Caplan won the triple jump in 38-feet, 4 1/2-inches, followed by Cunningham (37-feet, 3 3/4-inches) and Towanda’s Calogero Mignano (36-feet, 11 3/4-inches).
Towanda’s Tanner Vanderpool won the pole vault in 9-feet, 6-inches), followed by Wyalusing’s Tyler Grover (9-feet), and Black Knight Jaydon Stranger (9-feet).
Wyalusing’s Joshua Palfreyman (128-feet, 7-inches) won the discus followed by Canton’s Wyatt Hilton (121-feet, 1-inch), and Wyalusing’s Jasai Latini (106-feet, 6-inches).
Towanda’s Joey Montonya (132-feet, 11-inches) won the javelin, followed by Wyalusing’s duo of Ethan Vanderpool (129-feet, 8-inches) and Conner Earle (128-feet, 7-inches).
Towanda went 1-2 in the shot put with Markell Garner (41-feet, 5-inches) and Dom Miller (40-feet, 1/2-inch), as Palfreyman (39-feet, 4-inches) was third.
For the girls Canton’s Daveian Crowley won the 100 in 13.44, followed by Wyalusing’s Vayda Rought (13.66), and fellow Warrior Hayley Larsen (14.19).
Canton’s Danah Wesneski (30.29) beat Wyalusing’s Carol Scarborough (31.72) in the 200, while in the 400 the Rams went 1-2 with Aleta O’Connor (1:13.14) and Scarborough (1:14) with Canton’s Layla Frisbie (1:19.12) third.
The Rams swept the 800 with Marci Gowin (3:17.88), Alyssa Neagle (3:19.27), and Carlee Zawicki (3:23.78).
Wyalusing also swept the 1600 with Riley Porter (6:31.64), Camryn Gesford (6:55.31), and Kayle Goodwin (8:38). Gesford won the 3200 in 15:13.48.
The Rams went 1-2 in the 100 hurdles with Lia Fischer (18.20) and Liz Kilmer (20.93), with Megan King taking the 300 hurdles (54.74).
Wyalusing took all three relays - the 4x100 (55.52), the 4x400 (5:44.24), and the 4x800 (12:38.78).
Wyalusing’s Jenna Morningstar won the high jump in 4-feet, 10-inches, as Towanda’s Natalyn Morris (4-feet, 6-inches) was second, and Canton’s Hayley Larsen (4-feet, 4-inches) was third.
Wyalusing swept the long jump with Morningstar (15-feet, 4-inches), Ava King (14-feet, 5 1/4-inches), and Vayda Rought (13-feet, 10 3/4-inches).
The Rams also swept the triple jump with King (31-feet, 5 1/4-inches), Fischer (31-feet, 2-inches), and Alyssa Neagle (29-feet, 1 1/2-inches).
Towanda went 1-2 in the pole vault with Marin Maynard (8-feet) and Allexys Shaffer (7-feet). Wyalusing’s Storey Newell (6-feet, 6-inches) was third.
Canton’s Alexis McRoberts won the discus in 107-feet, 3-inches, followed by Towanda’s Mya Maynard (98-feet, 9-inches), and Wyalusing’s Sierra Gromley (75-feet, 4-inches).
Towanda went 1-2 in the javelin with Brynn Woodruff (110-feet, 10-inches) and Eliana Cook (93-feet, 4-inches), as Wyalusing’s Addi Vanderpool (85-feet, 3-inches) took third.
McRoberts won the shot put at 35-feet, 8-inches, as Cook (32-feet, 9-inches), and Mya Maynard (31-feet, 6-inches) were second and third.
