NTL BOYS BASKETBALL: NEB'S STANTON NAMED THE NTL PLAYER OF THE YEAR (2026-04-08)

NEB’s Eli Stanton was named the NTL Boys’ Basketball Player of the Year recently, with NEB earning two other awards.

His teammate Dayton Russell was named the 6th man, with the Panthers taking home the Coaching Staff of the Year honors. 

Troy’s Trey Teribury was named the Offensive Player of the Year, while Athens’ James Friend was named the Defensive Player of the Year.

The Large School first team consisted of NPM’s Andy Hermansen and Jason Harer, Towanda’s Boom Thompson, and Darrius Farrell, Wellsboro’s Colin Fletcher, and Athens’ Lucas Schultz.

On the second team are Wyalusing’s Tyler Caplan, Troy’s Spencer Martin, Towanda’s Markell Garner,  Athens’ Aidan Briggs and Nick Grazul, and Wellsboro’s Luke Rothermel.

The Small School first team members are NEB’s Cooper Brown and Clay Wilks, NPL’s Luke Kreger and Evan Mctish, and CV’s Ashton Burdick and Levi Stahli.

On the second team are NEB’s Mac Burgert, Canton’s Monte Whitehead, CV’s Josh Teague, Sayre’s Declan Barry, NPL’s Connor Lewis, and Williamson’s Maddox Hartman.
