NTL BASEBALL: NEB FALLS AT CV (2026-04-15)

WESTFIELD — NEB led 3-1 but CV rallied with 10 unanswered runs in this NTL baseball contest, ultimately winning 11-3 on Wednesday.

The game was suspended due to weather on Tuesday with the Panthers in the lead, but couldn’t find that momentum again when they returned on Wednesday.

It was 3-1 NEB after one, with CV cutting it to 3-2 in the second. The Indians scored six in the fourth to take control of the game, then added three more in the fifth.

Elijah DeLancey (2-for-3) had two doubles with 2-RBI as Cooper Hugo (1-for-4) scored, and drove in a run.

Kohen Hugo and Nate Gross both scored, as Brad Shores (1-for-1), and Anthony Johnson (1-for-3) both had hits.

Kohen Hugo started, and went 3 2/3-innings for the loss, striking out seven with three walks, 10 hits, and eight runs.

Tyler Goodenow went one-third of an inning with two hits, while DeLancey finished out the final two innings, with two walks, four hits, and three runs.

Kohen Hugo led off the game by reaching on an error, followed by walks to Gross and Johnson.

That set up Kohen Hugo scoring on a fielder’s choice off the bat of Cooper Hugo for a 1-0 ball game.

Wes Alderfer kept the rally going by drawing a walk, then after an out DeLancey drove in Gross and Cooper Hugo with a double.

NEB (4-5) will host Williamson on Thursday.
