NTL TRACK & FIELD: TOWANDA GIRLS, WYALUSING BOTH EARN TRI-MEET SWEEPS (2026-04-15)

ATHENS — Towanda girls and Wyalusing boys both came away with NTL track and field tri-meet sweeps on Wednesday.

The Lady Knights scored 72 points, besting Wyalusing and Athens, both of whom scored 56 points.

For the boys Wyalusing notched 82 points, ahead of Athens (68) and Towanda (39).

On the girls’ side Wyalusing’s Vayda Rought (12.91) won the 100 with Towanda’s Reese Sullivan (13.67) taking third.

Sullivan (28.63) and teammate Mary-Kate Eberlin (28.65) went 2-3 in the 200 as Eberlin (1:04.61) won the 400 while fellow Knight Karis Flynn (1:07.72) was third.

Towanda’s Izzy Larson (2:35.75) was second in the 800 with Wyalusing’s Riley Porter (6:40.24) third in the 1600.

Knights Kenzie Brown (14:47.79) and Angie Tavani (15:03.95) were second and third in the 3200.

Wyalusing’s Lia Fischer (17.19) won the 100 hurdles with Towanda’s Katelyn Blokzyl (18.49) in third.

Wyalusing’s duo of Megan King (53.67) and Liz Kilmer (1:00.03) went 2-3 in the 300 hurdles.

Wyalusing swept all three relays - 4x100 (54.15), 4x400 (4:38.18), and 4x800 (12:04.70).

Wyalusing’s Jenna Morningstar (5-feet) won the high jump with Knights Natalyn Morris (4-feet, 6-inches) and Kennedy Heyer (4-feet, 2-inches) in second and third.

Morningstar won the long jump (16-feet, 8 1/2-inches) with teammate Alyssa Neagle (13-feet, 9-inches) in third.

Fischer (33-feet, 1 1/2-inches) won the triple jump as Neagle (31-feet, 2-inches) took third.

Towanda swept the pole vault with Marin Maynard (9-feet), Cheyenne Morgan (8-feet, 6-inches), and Allexys Shaffer (7-feet).

The Knights also swept the discus with Mya Maynard (85-feet), Ali Hollett (81-feet), and Lilyann Sproule (74-feet, 7-inches).

Towanda went 1-2 in the javelin with Brynn Woodruff (121-feet, 10-inches) and Mya Maynard (100-feet, 1-inch).

And the Knights swept the shot put with Eliana Cook (33-feet, 8-inches), Mya Maynard (32-feet, 10 1/4-inches), and Sproule (30-feet, 1/4-inch).

On the boys’ side Wyalusing’s Tyler Caplan (11.72) was second in the 100, with Dominic Trowbridge (24.29) taking second in the 200 for the Rams, as Towanda’s Ben Shrawder (25.10) was third.

Towanda’s Quentin Little (57.48) and Anthony Rifenbark (57.92) went 2-3 in the 400, as Jazick Brown (2:05.15) won the 800.

Wyalusing went 1-2 in the 110 hurdles with Jack Fischer (16.90) and Jonathan Earle (18.02), as Towanda’s Aiden Blokzyl (18.62) was third.

Fischer (43.28) won the 300 hurdles with teammate Parker Cunningham (46.36) in third.

Wyalusing won the 4x100 (45.87) as Towanda took the 4x400 (3:46.06).

Ram Dylan Johns (6-feet) won the high jump with Towanda’s Kole Heyer (5-feet, 8-inches) in second, and Wyalusing’s James Weaver (5-feet, 6-inches) taking third.

Johns (20-feet, 9 1/2-inches) and Caplan (18-feet, 9-inches) went 1-2 in the long jump while in the triple jump Caplan (41-feet, 7 1/2-inches) and Cunningham (38-feet, 4-inches) went 1-2. Towanda’s Calogero Mignano (34-feet, 1 1/2-inches) was third.

Wyalusing’s Jonathan Earle (13-feet) won the pole vault followed by Towanda’s Tanner Vanderpool (10-feet, 6-inches) and fellow Ram Sullivan McCracken (9-feet, 6-inches).

The Rams swept the discus with Joshua Palfreyman (131-feet, 3-inches), Harry Meyers (108-feet, 6-inches), and Jasai Latini (104-feet, 5-inches).

Wyalusing’s Conner Earle (136-feet, 5-inches) and Ethan Vanderpool (131-feet, 8-inches) went 1-2 in the javelin as Towanda’s Joey Montonya (125-feet, 10-inches) took third.

Towanda’s Markell Garner (46-feet, 6 3/4-inches) won the shot put followed by Palfreyman (40-feet, 10 1/4-inches) and fellow Knight Dom Miller (39-feet, 7 3/4-inches).
