Northern Tier Sports ReportLAPORTE — Sullivan out hit Sugar Valley but couldn’t push any runs across as they fell, 7-0, during non-league baseball action Thursday.
The Griffins had more hits 5-3 but also had six errors in the game as Sugar Valley nickel-and-dimed their way with one run in each of the first three innings.
They pushed across in the fifth to take control, then added another run in the sixth.
Tucker Blasi (1-for-3) had a triple as Zach Miller (2-for-3) had a multi-hit game. Madden Fries (1-for-4), and Ryan Murray (1-for-2) also had hits.
Fries started, and went 5 2/3-innings with eight strikeouts, five walks, two hits, and seven runs, just one of which was earned.
Cole Ledger tossed the final 1 1/3-innings with one walk, and one hit.
