NTL SOFTBALL: WYALUSING USES 7-RUN INNING TO DOWN TROY (2206-04-21)

WYALUSING — Wyalusing softball broke a 3-game losing streak with a 9-2 win over Troy during NTL action Tuesday.

The Rams pushed one across in the bottom of the first, then added another in the third for a 2-0 lead.

Troy cut it to 2-1 with a run in the fourth, but then came the 7-run fifth from Wyalusing.

The Trojans would get their final run in the sixth.

Josie Ferris (1-for-3) had a double with two runs scored, and 2-RBI for the Rams as Callee Warner (2-for-3) scored a run.

Addisyn Bly (1-for-4) scored twice and drove in a run, as Treanna Nickeson (1-for-4) scored, and had an RBI.

Riley O’Connor (1-for-3), Emily Johns (1-for-3), and Morgan Adams all crossed home as Kirra Millard (1-for-3), Addison Fluck, and Johns each had an RBI.

Fluck struck out eight in the win, allowing one walk, seven hits, and two runs.

Lauren Reed (1-for-3) had a double with a run scored for Troy with Maddyson Muir (2-for-3) having a multi-hit day.

Sydnee Bellows (1-for-3) also scored, as Haidyn Watson (1-for-3), Erinn Knapp (1-for-2), and Delaney Kendall (1-for-3) all had hits.

Knapp struck out six in the loss, allowing eight hits, one walk, and nine runs.

In the first Ferris would draw a 2-out walk then scored on a Millard double for a 1-0 Ram lead.

In the second Bly had a lead-off hit then scored on a Ferris ground out to make it 2-0.

For Troy’s first run Reed hit a double then scored on a wild pitch for a 2-1 ball game.

In Wyalusing’s big inning Johns and Warner had back to back hits to lead things off, with Johns scoring on an error.

Bly brought in Warner on a fielder’s choice for a 4-1 lead, followed by Nickeson driving in Bly with a hit.

Ferris would score Nickeson, while she later scored on an error for a 6-1 advantage.

O’Connor would reach on an error then was driven in by Fluck, followed by Adams, Fluck’s courtesy runner, scoring off a Johns hit for the 9-1 lead.

For Troy’s final run Bellows led off with a walk then scored on a hit.
