Northern Tier Sports ReportBINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Wyalusing baseball fell 6-5 to Blue Ridge in a walk-off during the Blue Ridge Baseball Tournament up at Binghamton Stadium Sunday.
The Rams jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning but Blue Ridge chipped away beginning with two run sin the fourth.
The added one run in each of the fifth and sixth innings to tale up 4-3.
Wyalusing came back with two runs in the top of the seventh only for the Raiders to strike back with two runs in the bottom half of the inning for the win.
Gage Tinna (3-for-4) had the big bat for the Rams with two doubles, 2-RBI, and a run scored.
Marshall Huston (1-for-4) had a double with two runs, as Griffin Sheldon (1-for-4) and Michael Phillips both crossed home.
Owen Brown (1-for-3) and Wiley Trobaugh (1-for-3) each had a hit.
Dawson Biza went the first 4 1/3-innings with four strikeouts, two walks, five hits, and three runs scored, two of which were earned.
Campbell Carr tossed the final 2 1/3-innings to take the loss. He struck out one with four walks, five hits, and three earned runs.
Huston would hit a 1-out double in the top of the first to start the Wyalusing rally, then scored on Tinna’s first double.
After an out an error off the bat of Phillips allowed Tinna to come home for a 2-0 lead.
Phillips would later score on a passed ball to make it 3-0.
Sheldon led off the top of the seventh with a hit, followed by Huston reaching on an error.
Sheldon would take home on a steal, then Tinna singled in Huston for the 5-4 lead.
In the bottom half Blue Ridge got a 2-out bases loaded single to score two and take the win.
Wyalusing (3-13) will travel to Canton on Tuesday.
