Northern Tier Sports ReportBLOOMSBURG — The Sullivan County softball team fell to CMVT, 9-1, during Mid-Penn softball action Tuesday.
CMVT took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third, then added one more in the fourth.
Sullivan got on the scoreboard with a run in the top of the sixth, but a 6-run bottom half from the Rams saw them take control of the game.
Hannah Kelley (3-for-3) had a double with a run scored, as Maria Hallabuk (1-for-4), Miley Dickinson (1-for-3), and Trinity Rohe (1-for-2) all had hits.
Dickinson also had an RBI.
Emilia Viveiros struck out five in the loss with two walks, eight hits, and nine runs, all unearned.
Kelly and Hallabuk had back to back hits to open up the top of the sixth.
Charley Insinger then reached on an error to load the bases with no outs.
Dickison would drive in Kelly with a hit to make it 3-1.
CMVT, though, got out of the jab with a strikeout, then caught Hallabuk trying to steal home.
They ended the inning with a ground out.
Sullivan County (8-7) hosts Sayre on Saturday.
