Northern Tier Sports ReportATHENS — Canton’s Alexis McRoberts was a 2-time gold medalist at the NTL Track and Field Championships Friday.
McRoberts won the discus (131-feet, 6-inches) and the shot put (39-feet, 1 1/2-inch).
Three other teammates were also multiple medalists on the day: Emilia Pepper was second in the javelin (102-feet, 5-inches) and seventh in the shot put (29-feet, 2 1/4-inches), Daveian Crowley took second in the 400 (1:03.33) and fifth in the 100 (13.19), with Hayley Larsen seventh in the 200 (28.51) and seventh in the high jump (4-feet, 6-inches).
Danah Wesneski was third in the 300 hurdles (49.67), as well.
Both the 4x400 (4:29.17) and the 4x100 (52.20) took fourth.
The Lady Warriors were tied for the sixth with 62 points.
