Northern Tier Sports ReportBENTON — Sullivan County led early but Benton scored in nearly every inning as they pulled out a 10-3 win over the Griffins during Mid-Penn baseball action Friday.
Sullivan led 3-0 after one as Benton tied them up with three runs in the second.
The Tigers would go on to score a run in the third, two in the fourth, one in the fifth, and three more in the sixth to get the win.
Tucker Blasi (2-for-2), Madden Fries (1-for-2), and Cole Barto (1-for-3) all scored as Brian Smith had 2-RBI.
Ryan Murray also drove in a run with Carter Blasi (1-for-2) getting a hit.
Gage Burke started, and went 3 2/3-innings with one strikeout, eight walks, six hits, and six earned runs.
Murray came on in relief for two innings with one strikeout, seven walks, three hits, and four earned runs.
Carter Blasi tossed the final third with one strikeout.
