Northern Tier Sports ReportWELLSBORO — Wyalusing softball saw their 6-game win streak snapped as they fell 11-4 to Wellsboro during NTL action Friday.
The Hornets led 3-0 after one when the Rams rallied with four runs in the top of the second.
The Hornets came back with two runs in the bottom half to retake the lead 5-4. They would go on to score two runs in the fourth, and four in the sixth.
Addisyn Bly (1-for-4) and Addison Fluck (1-for-2) had the two Wyalusing hits as Raelea Harvey, Riley O’Connor, Callee Warner, and Kyla Carpenter scored the run.
Fluck started, and went 3 2/3-innings with one strikeout, seven walks, two hits, and seven runs scored.
Laynee Burgess tossed the final 2 1/3-innings with one strikeout, three walks, two hits, and four runs.
Fluck would single to open up the second inning, followed by O’Connor drawing a walk. Fluck’s courtesy runner, Harvey, then scored on a passed ball to get the Rams on the scoreboard.
After a second out an error off the bat of Warner brought in O’Connor to tie the game up.
Carpenter then drew a walk, followed by Bly getting a hit to load the bases.
An error off the bat of Nickeson would bring home Warner and Carpenter for the 4-3 lead.
Wyalusing (13-6) will host Canton on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. for their regular season finale.
