NTL BASEBALL: WYALUSING FALLS TO TUNKHANNOCK, 13-3, IN SEASON FINALE (2026-05-11)

TUNKHANNOCK - Wyalusing dropped a 13-3 decision in six innings in non-league baseball action at Tunkhannock in its season finale Monday.
It was tight early, with the game 1-1 after the first inning. Tunkhannock pushed a run across in the second to go up 2-1.
It stayed that way until the bottom of the fourth when the Tigers plated four runners for a 6-1 score.
The Rams cut it to 6-3 with two runs in the top of the sixth, but Tunkhannock ended the game in the bottom half with a 7-run spurt.
Jared VandeMark (1-for-3) had an RBI for Wyalusing with Griffin Sheldon, Campbell Carr, and Michael Phillips all scoring runs. Phillips also drove in a run.
Owen Brown started and went 4 2/3-innings with one strikeout, six walks, seven hits, and six earned runs.
Carr tossed one-third of an inning with one walk, two hits, and three earned runs, followed by VandeMark going two-thirds with one strikeout, five walks, no hits, and four earned runs.
Dawson Biza came on relief but didn’t record an out, allowing one walk.
In the first three of Wyalusing’s first four batters drew walks to load the bases. Phillips would make it four walks, bringing Sheldon for a 1-0 lead.
Carr would draw a 1-out walk to start the rally in the sixth, then scored on an error off the bat of Phillips. Two batters later Phillips scored on a VandeMark hit for their final run.
Wyalusing finishes the season 3-17.
