SULLIVAN COUNTY FALLS TO SAYRE (2026-05-12)

LAPORTE — Sullivan County got down early and couldn’t recover as they fell 13-9 to Sayre during non-league softball action Tuesday.

Sayre led 3-0 after one, and pushed that advantage to 8-0 midway through the third.

The Griffins got on the scoreboard in the bottom half of the inning with two runs.

Sayre would out score Sullivan 3-1 in the fourth to take an 11-3 lead.

The Griffins would use two runs in the fifth, and three in the sixth to cut it to 11-8.

Sayre would push two across in the top of the seventh for a 13-8 lead.

Sullivan came back with a run in the bottom half of the inning for the 13-9 final.

Bailey Bogart (2-for-4) had a double with a run scored and an RBI for the Griffins as Emilia Viveiros (2-for-3) had a double.

Miley Dickinson (1-for-4) drove in three runs with Charlie Insinger getting 2-RBI with one run scored.

Gabby Evans (1-for-4) had a double with a run scored as Mariah Hallabuk (1-for-3) scored twice.

Trinity Rohe (1-for-4) scored twice with Bailey Smith also crossing home. Hannah Kelly chipped in with an RBI.

Viveiros started and went four innings as she takes the loss.

She struck out two with one walk, 10 hits, and 11 runs, six of them earned.

Dickinson tossed the final three innings with four strikeouts, two walks, four hits, and two unearned runs.

Evans led off the bottom of the third with a double followed by Hallabuk drawing a walk two batters later. Insinger then reached on an error to load the bases.

Dickinson would single in Evans and Hallabuk for an 8-2 score.

Viveiros hit a double to lead off the bottom of the fourth. After two outs Bogart drove her in with a single for an 11-3 score.

The Griffins went with two outs again in the fifth as Smith reached on a 2-out error.

She scored on an error off the bat of Rohe, then Rohe scored on an error off the bat of Murray.


In the sixth Bogart hit a 1-out double to start the rally, then Hallabuk singled to put two runners on.

An error off the bat of Insinger scored both to make it an 11-7 game.

A Dickinson ground out brought Insinger home for a 3-run contest.

Rohe and Viveiros hit back to back singles to start the seventh. Kelly brought Rohe home on a sacrifice fly for a 13-9 score.

Sayre then got back to back outs to end the game.

Sullivan (8-8) needs to win at least one of their next two games to make districts. They travel to Sayre on Friday, then hit the road to Benton on Saturday.
