ATHENS — The Pennsylvania girls wrestling squad pulled away from New York, 66-36, during the Duals on Desmond Competition Saturday.
Pa won two-thirds of the bouts - 14 of 21 - including a streak of six straight victories late in the match to secure the win. The Ladies of the Commonwealth are now 3-0 in the competition.
NEB's Anaiah Kolesar opened things up with a fall over Rayra Collee in 1:45.
Tioga's Kyah Nelson came back with a pin over Williamsport's Mia Davis in 1:37 to even things up.

Dundee's Peyton Mullin pinned Hazleton's Evelyn Sheer in 1:03 to cut the deficit to 36-32 but that's as close as it got.
Williamsport's Mykia Petruskevich pinned Groton's Mya Locke in 1:34, then the Athens kids took it from there.
Sophia Barrett pinned Newark Valley's Hadley Merrill in 1:04, followed by teammate Hanna Rathbun scoring a fall over Ithaca's Rayna Coller in 1:39 for a 51-32 lead.
Panther Valley's Brenda Banks emerged from the stands to pin SVE's Katelynn Vanetten in 1:05 to keep the PA streak going.
Williamsport's Lillian Rumsey would ping Phoenix's Sonia Munetz in 1:20, then fellow Millionaire Malaina Comfort scored an injury default over Walton-Delaware Academy's Cadence Guy.
