The Callear Lady Lightning Blue 14U Softball team went 2-3 during tournament action this weekend.
The Lightning opened with a loss to NEPA Rivercats 5-2, then beat Grind Softball Yellow 11-3. They finished Saturday with a 7-4 loss to Abington Wildcats.
They opened Sunday with a 3-0 win over the Central PA Dirt Dawgs, then lost 7-6 in a rematch with the Abington Wildcats.
In the opener against the Rivercats Alexis McMurray went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and 2-RBI.
Raya Preston (1-for-2), Maci Campbell (1-for-2), and Hailey Smith (1-for-2) also had hits.
Madilyn Callear and Ayla Wheeler scored the two runs.
Preston started, and went two innings with one strikeout, one walk, four hits, and one earned run.
Wheeler pitched the next two innings with one strikeout, two walks, three hits, and three earned runs, while Campbell also got time in the circle with a hit and an unearned run.
In the win over Grind Softball McMurray, Preston, and Thetga all had home runs.
Preston (2-for-3) also had 3-RBI With a two runs scored with Thetga (2-for-3) had 3-RBI with two runs scored.
McMurray (1-for-3) had a run scored and an RBI, as Callear (2-for-4) had two doubles with a run scored and an RBI.
Campbell (2-for-3) scored a run with Smith (1-for-2) drove in two runs. Delaney Kendall (1-for-3) scored a run and drove in a run with Wheeler, Karmyn McPherson, and Taylor Aquilio all scored.

Callear pitched the final three innings with four strikeouts, three walks, three hits, and two earned runs.
