TUNKHANNOCK — NEBall Majors Softball scored a run in the top of the sixth to edge Tunkhannock, 5-4, during District 33 action Monday.

Tunkhannock led 2-0 after one but NEBall tied it up with two runs in the top of the second.

A run in the bottom of the third by Tunkhannock saw them retake the lead, with the two teams trading runs in the fourth.

NEBall tied things up with a run in the fifth, then scored the winning run in the final inning.

Molly Callear (3-for-4) had a double with a run scored, and an RBI to lead NEBall with Brooke Kolesar (1-for-3), Ellie Aldefer, Aubrey Johnson, and Ryleigh Crawford (1-for-2) scoring their runs.

Aliyah Kolesar (1-for-2) drove in a run.

Alderfer started, and went three innings with three strikeouts, while Callear went the final three to get the win, striking out four.

NEBall will host RTL on Wednesday.
