TROY — Troy lost 9-3 to Wellsboro during District 15 Majors baseball pool play action Saturday.

Wellsboro led 2-0 after one, then made it 6-0 after three. Troy scored three in the fourth to cut the deficit in half, but Wellsboro tacked on another run in the fifth, then added two more in the sixth for the 6-run win.

Wesley W (2-for-3) had an RBI for Troy as Keegan R (1-for-2) drove in two runs.

Jas S, Ecko K, and River B all scored with Brenann S (1-for-2) getting a hit.

Wesley started, and went two innings with two strikeouts, while Ecko went the next four with seven strikeouts.

Troy will travel to Southern Tioga on Monday.
