YOUTH: RTL USES FIFTH INNING RALLY TO TOP NEBALL IN MAJORS BASEBALL (2026-06-24)

WINDHAM — RTL used a 7-run fifth inning to rally past NEBall, 10-5, during District 33 Majors Baseball pool play action Tuesday.

After two scoreless innings RTL led 3-2 through three. NEBall pushed three across in the top of the fourth for a 2-run lead.

In the bottom of the fifth RTL dropped the seven spot to take control of the game, then held NEBall scoreless in the sixth.

For RTL Jackson Case (3-for-3) had two doubles with two runs scored, and an RBI, with Elliott Campbell (2-for-3) also rocking two doubles with two runs scored, and an RBI.

Wesley Carr (2-for-3) had a double with a run scored, as Grayson House (2-for-3) scored, and drove in a run.

Cayden Benjamin (2-for-2) had 2-RBI with a run scored while Parker Sands (1-for-3) had a double with an RBI, and a run.

Forrest Fisk (1-for-3) scored, and drove in a run, with Weston Maines also crossing home.

Emerson Clouse (1-for-2), Jackson Brink, and Brantley Cron each had an RBI.

Carr tossed the first three innings, striking out three, with Clouse going an inning as he struck out one. Case pitched the final two innings to get the win, striking out two.

For NEBall David Murphy (1-for-2) and Jaxson Waltemeyer (1-for-2) each had a double with a run scored.

Lane Alderfer (1-for-3), Blake Spatola (1-for-2), and Wes Burgert (1-for-2) all scored, as Timmy Laudermilch (1-for-2) and Everett Edsell (1-for-2) each had hits. 

Burgert went 2 2/3-innings with three strikeouts, while Timmy Laudermilch went two innings with three strikeouts.

Spatola tossed the final one-third with one strikeout.

RTL will host Montrose on Wednesday to wrap up pool play.
