TUNKHANNOCK — RTL saw Tunkhannock rally late as they fell, 9-7, during elimination bracket play for District 33 Majors Softball Tuesday.

RTL led 1-0 after one, and 3-0 after two. Tunkhannock out scored RTL 3-2 in the third to make it 5-3, but a 2-run top fifth from the Little Leaguers out of Wyalusing put them up 7-3.

That's when Tunkhannock scored six straight to take the 2-run lead, then held Wyalusing scoreless in the sixth.

Fallon O'Connor (2-for-3) had a multi-hit day as Stella Sheldon (1-for-3) had a double with two runs scored.

Carleigh Reynolds (1-for-3) had 2-RBI with a run scored while Cassadee Benjamin (1-for-3) scored and drove in a run.

Aubri Brown, Riley Welles (1-for-3), and Madelyn Sweeley all crossed home, as Cora Trobaugh (1-for-3) drove in a run.

Mollee Warner struck out seven in the loss.

RTL falls out of the tournament with Tunkhannock facing NEBall on Thursday.
