TOWANDA — Canton used a 10-run third inning to pull away from Towanda for a 14-4 win in four innings during District 15 pool play action Friday.
It was 3-1 Canton after one, with Towanda out scoring Canton 2-1 in the second for a 4-3 game.
Towanda tied it up with a run in the top of the third, then came the big Canton rally to take control of the game.
Canton held Towanda scoreless in the fourth to get the win.
Abe Pepper (2-for-2) had a triple with two runs scored for Canton as Ike Preston (2-for-3) scored and drove in two runs.
Beau Bassett (1-for-1) had a double with two runs scored, and 2-RBI, with Lee Hall (1-for-1) scoring twice while driving in a run.
William Finogle (1-for-1) and Dawson Hill both scored, as Jett Dean, Huntley Thomas, and Hayden Stone all scored, and drove in a run.
Dean Pepper struck out 11 in the win.
Eric Towner (2-for-2), Rayden Bailey, and Maddox Hicks all scored for Towanda as Cole Spencer (1-for-1) had a hit.
Chase Lewis pitched a third of an inning, striking out one, with Bailey going two innings with four strikeouts.
Hicks went one-third of an inning, as well.
