Towanda powered past Elkland, 18-4, during District 15 Majors Baseball bracket action.

Towanda led 1-0 after one, then out scored Elkland 4-2 in the second. 

After a scoreless third they tacked on another in the fourth for a 6-2 lead.

Towanda began to pull away with a 5-2 fifth in their favor, then ended all doubt with a 7-run sixth.

Colton Mulcahy (3-for-3) scored three times with 2-RBI as Brayden Campbell (3-for-3) scored twice with an RBI.

Jagger Vargason (2-for-3) scored twice as Emerson Craigl (1-for-4) had a double with 3-RBI and a run scored.

Will Eberlin (1-for-3) scored, and drove in a run as Cayson Vanderpool (1-for-2) scored, and had an RBI.

Cruz Olvera (1-for-2), Grant Nash, Bently Flynn, and Cameron Whitson all scored twice with Logan McNeal (1-for-5) getting a hit.

Flynn went the first 1 1/3-innings with two strikeouts, followed by Olvera striking out six in 2 1/3-innings.

Vanderpool went the final 2 1/3-innings with six strikeouts.

Towanda will host Troy on Tuesday.
