YOUTH: CANTON MINORS HOLDS ON TO BEAT TIOGA-LAWRENCEVILLE (2026-06-30)

LAWRENCEVILLE — Canton Minors Baseball held on to beat Tioga-Lawrenceville, 10-7, during District 15 bracket play on Tuesday.

Canton led 5-2 after one, but saw Tioga-Lawrenceville knot things up with a 3-run second.

Canton struck back with a 3-run third. The teams traded runs in the fourth and fifth innings, then did so again in the sixth to give Canton the 3-run win.

Dean Pepper (3-for-3) tripled, scored three runs, and had 3-RBI as Beau Bassett (2-for-3) had a double with two runs scored and an RBI.

Lee Hall (2-for-2) scored, as Abe Pepper (1-for-2) doubled, and scored a run. Dawson Hill (1-for-3) doubled, scored a run, and drove one in, as Camden Eberlin and Ike Preston (1-for-2) both scored. 

William Finogle had an RBI, with Jett Dean (1-for-3) getting a hit.

Dean Pepper went the first 2 1/3-innings with five strikeouts, with Finogle going the next 3 1/3-innings with seven strikeouts.

Preston went the final third to bring things home.

Canton travels to Athens on July 4th for the semifinals.
