WYALUSING — RTL pulled away from Blue Ridge, 8-2, during District 33 Minors Baseball Championship bracket action Tuesday.

RTL will now await the winner of Montrose and Blue Ridge as they look to close out a district title on Saturday at 3 p.m. down at Tunkhannock.

Blue Ridge used an inside the park home run in the first inning to take a 1-0 lead, but a 2-run top third from RTL saw them go ahead.

RTL broke the game open with a 5-run fifth.

Blue Ridge got one back in the bottom half, with RTL scoring another run in the top of the sixth.

Kase Morningstar struck out nine in the win.

Eli Howard (2-for-2) had 2-RBI with a run scored, as Dax Cogswell (2-for-2) scored a run.

Logan Otis (1-for-3) doubled with a run scored, and an RBI, as Huck Lambert (1-for-1) crossed home twice.

Thomas Insinger (1-for-1) had 2-RBI with a run scored as Everett Fischer (1-for-2) and Gavin Carr (1-for-3) both scored.

Bryson Warner (1-for-2) drove in a run.
