ATHENS — The Athens JH Girls basketball league finished up regular season action this past Monday.

Athens and Troy earned sweeps, with Athens beating Wyalusing (42-6) and Towanda (50-23), while Troy won over Waverly (33-23) and Hughesville (forfeit).

Towanda also defeated Hughesville by forfeit while Waverly edged Wyalusing (42-32) to take the last playoff spot.

This Monday will be the playoffs with Athens against Waverly in one semifinal, and Troy against Towanda in the other. The semifinals are at 6 p.m. with the finals to follow at 7 p.m.
