TOWANDA — It was a good start to the season for Towanda volleyball as they swept NP-Liberty in NTL action Saturday.

The Knights won the sets 25-20, 25-18, and 25-14 to get the win.

"It felt great to open our new facility with a win," said Towanda coach Cassie Smith. "We really appreciate all the work that our maintenance/custodial staff, and administration have put into this gym to get it ready for us to play today. We are very fortunate to have a place like this to compete. The girls have been working hard all preseason, so I’m proud of their efforts against a tough opponent like North Penn Liberty. They did a nice job feeding off of one another to create good opportunities for our hitters at the net. Everyone did their job and worked together as a team to get this opening win."

Kendall Kellogg had seven kills, 12 digs, and nine points for the Knights with Lariah Long adding 13 points, eight digs, five aces, and four kills.

Addison Barrett had six kills, five blocks, four points, and one dig, while Kylee Barnes notched five kills, and six blocks.

Karis Flynn had 11 assists, five kills, nine points, two blocks, and five digs, with Ali Hollett getting nine points, seven assists, three aces, and two digs.

Brynsen Vagason notched 16 digs to go with one point, as Hannah Crawford had two kills, with one dig.

Towanda won the JV match 25-19, 25-19.

Addison Aquilio had eight points, two aces, and five digs, as Emma Space finished with 10 kills, two points, two aces, and one block.

Samantha Hartigan finished with six points, one ace, and nine digs, as Madelyn Nash had five points, two aces, four digs, and two kills.

Adaleigh Jankowsky notched five points, three aces, one dig, and one assists, with Mercede Overpeck getting three points, two kills, one dig, and one ace.

Emma Bride and Ella Rice each had a kill.
