SUNBURY — Towanda used two first half goals to down Northumberland County Christian in their girls soccer season opener Saturday.

Ellie Cook had both goals with Taylor Aquilio earning an assist. 

Mya Maynard stopped 15 shots to get the clean sheet.

The Black Knights had a 19-15 edge in shots.

Towanda (1-0) is at NP-Mansfield on Wednesday.
