MUNCY — A tough second half doomed Towanda as they fell 32-9 against Muncy during NTL football action Friday.

It was 11-9 at the break but the Indians went on to score 21 unanswered points to pull away.

Reese Sluyter was 12-for-30 for 109-yards throwing the ball with three interceptions as the Knights were held to 117 rushing yards.

Layken Harris opened up the scoring for Muncy with a 2-yard run at the 6:09 mark of the first quarter. They got the 2-point conversion for an 8-0 lead.

Towanda struck back as Brayden Spencer hit a 27-yard field goal with 12 seconds left in the first to make it an 8-3 game.

Muncy came back with a 24-yard field goal of their own with 2:05 left in the half for an 11-3 score.

The Knights were able to find pay dirt with 29 seconds on the clock as Gage Evans scored on a 6-yard run. The 2-point conversion was no good and it remained a 2-point contest at the half.

In the second half three different Indians scored touchdowns with Noah Weikel punching one in from 3-yards out, Noah Walters scoring on a 3-yard run, and Nate Rogers hauling in a 21-yard pass from Walters.
