TOWANDA — Towanda fell 3-2 to Bucktail in non-league girls' tennis action Monday.

It's the closest the Knights had come to getting a win as they got a second singles victory out of Dalila Vega, 6-4, 6-2 over Carrie Ditty, and won two of the three doubles matches.

At first doubles Vega and Natalie Alderfer won 6-3 over Riley Salizzoni and Olivia Henderson, while at third doubles Natalee Hicks and Keira McNeal beat Kaitlin Paloskey and Kaidence Tennis 6-3. 

The second doubles team of Johna Miller and Olivia Masters lost 6-4 to Rebekah Conway and Emma Gentzyel.

The Bucks, though, won three singles matches to secure the team victory.

At first singles Alderfer lost 6-1, 7-5 to Kelsie Wagner, at third singles Hicks fell 7-5, 6-3 to Makenna Phillips, and at fourth singles Miller lost 6-2, 6-1 to Olivia Henderson.
