CANTON — Canton boys picked up a pair of dual meet wins over CV and Sayre during NTL cross-country action Tuesday.

The Warriors went 1-2 with Manuel Halbfoerster (17:51) and Landon Lake (18:51) as they defeated the Indians 22-35, and Sayre 15-50.

Levi Vermilya (21:00.62) was sixth, Tommy Preston (21:00.97) took seventh, and Ryan Inman (21:27.34) came in ninth to round out their scorers.

CV defeated Canton 15-50 in the girls race with both teams winning 15-50 over Sayre.

Canton's Elizabeth Halbfoerster (23:32) was fourth overall, with teammate Sarina Hess (25:02) in sixth. 

CV's Natalie Yonker (21:06) won the race.

In junior high boys action Canton's Jake VanHorn (10:59) won the race.
