WYALUSING — Wyaluisng held off a tough Canton squad, 3-1, during NTL volleyball action Tuesday.

The Rams squeaked out wins of 25-22 and 25-23 to open the match. The Warriors rallied for a 25-19 third set win, but Wyalusing put the match away with a 25-16 victory in the fourth set.

"Playing Canton is always fun to play, and coming out with a win is great," said Wyalusing coach Elizabeth VanDerpool. "We went in being the aggressors, trying to get that first to 10, first to 20, and they did that. The whole time you have to be aggressive, and you've got to work as a team, and that's what they did."

For Canton Cailyn Van Noy had 31 digs, three kills, four points, and two aces, with Danah Wesneski getting 10 points, 10 digs, five kills, an ace, and an assist.

Peyton Taylor had 25 assists, four digs, seven points, four aces, and two kills, as Makenna Seachrist had nine digs, eight kills, one block, seven points, and an ace.

Emilia Pepper notched six points, five digs, three kills, two aces, and an assist, as Hannah Walters had six kills, five digs, and an assist.

Kaybree Kendall finished with seven points, eight kills, nine digs, one block, and an ace, while Addy Cardona chipped in with a kill, a dig, and a block.

Canton won the JV match 25-19, and 25-21.

Brenna Van Noy had 10 assists, two aces, and a dig, with Emilee Walker getting six aces, and four kills.

Lindley Sechrist notched four kills, two aces, and two digs, while Amelia Pepper had four aces, and two digs.

Elsie Pepper finished with an ace, a kill, and a dig, with Bryelle Space tallying an ace, and a dig.

Walters, Kathryn Wile, and Lexi McMurray all had a kill.
