TROY — Alli Bailey and Haidyn Watson both reached milestones as Troy defeated Canton, 3-1, during NTL volleyball action Thursday.

The Trojans won the first set 25-22, with Canton rallying for a 25-19 win in the second set.

Troy won the final two sets 25-15 and 25-17.

This comes after a tough 5-set loss to Sayre on Tuesday.

"It was better to me that the girls had a good night and they played together," said Troy coach Abby Herman-Deitrick. "It's what we've been searching for. It seems like they found their groove tonight, and hopefully they'll keep finding it."

Bailey reached 1,000 career digs and Watson got her 500th career dig in the win.

"That's a huge accomplishment," Herman-Deitrick said about 1,000 digs. "She's been a libero since her freshman year, and she works her tail off. Haidyn is just as much of a crucial quarterback back there. She definitely earned her keep, too, she has been back in the back row since she was a freshman as well."

Bailey finished with 19 digs, one kill, and one ace, with Watson getting seven kills, one ace, and 18 digs.

Alexa Lawrence. Notched 12 digs, eight kills, and one ace, as Bella Wood had six kills, three digs, and one block.

Nya Watson had 13 digs, 24 assists, and two kills, while Evelyn Schonher finished with two kills, one assist, six digs, and two blocks.

Liana Lyon had seven digs, one kill, and one assist, with Gracie Brown getting four kills, three digs, and a block.

For Canton Makenna Seachrist had 10 kills, seven digs, one block, one ace, and an eight points, as Peyton Taylor finished with 18 assists, 12 points, and 11 digs to go with two aces.

Cailyn Van Noy had 19 digs, three kills, and three points, while Danah Wesneski finished with 12 digs, four kills, five points, and an ace.

Kaybree Kendall had 16 digs, seven points, two aces, and an assist with Emilia Pepper getting two points, three digs, and a kill.

Addy Cardona had a kill with two blocks, Hannah Walters finished with three kills, and two digs, and Lindley Sechrist had a dig.

Troy won the JV match 25-17, 25-18.

For the Trojans Gracie Feldmeier had four kills, one ace, and two digs as Mya McClure had five digs, nine assists, and four aces.

Leah Machmer notched two kills with a dig, as Kelsey Estep had two digs, and two kills.

Aahleisia Cummings had a kill and a dig, as Mya Monro notched three digs with a kill.

Sarah Caudill had a kill, an assist, and an ace.

Grace DiPetta had a kill and a dig, with Madison Morgan and Alexis Cayer each getting a dig. Morgan also had an assist with two aces, while Lainey Spalding had an ace.

For Canotn JV Brenna Van Noy had six assists, three aces, and a dig as Bryelle Space finished with five digs, and an ace.

Emilee Walker had an ace, a kill, and a dig with Sechrist getting two kills, and two digs.

Lexi McMurray had three kills, with Elsie Pepper, Walters, and Kathryn Wile each getting a kill. Brooke Murphy had a dig.
