Wyalusing (0-4) returns to home for a Saturday afternoon game with Sayre (1-3) as the kick-off is slated for noon.

The Rams are coming off their best effort yet of the season but are still putting the pieces together, particularly on the offensive end.

"We've been preaching mental focus and attention to detail," coach Jeffrey Hindman said. "We showed last week that we can move the football, then we have a few mental lapses and the drive stalls. We need to keep getting positive yards on every play, give the backs a chance to hit the hole without being swarmed in the backfield. We are seeing progress each week and we're just looking for them to put it together on the field like we know they are capable of. The pass game continues to progress, we just need the running game to get going."

The Redskins come in with some wind in their sails after a big win out at North Penn.

"Sayre is a big, physical team," Hindman said. "They grinded out a tough win against North Penn last week, so they definitely have the momentum coming into this game. They have played a tough schedule but they've continued to get better each week and that shows. They shouldn't be taken lightly by anyone. They will come out and punch you in the mouth and grind the ball right down the field."

For the most part last week Wyalusing did well defensively against CV, but some miscues led to big plays for the Indians.

"We have to play disciplined, make sure everyone is in the right position pre-snap," Hindman said. "We saw a lot of kids out of position before the play and they just weren't in position to make a play. It's back to that attention to detail, making sure we are where we are supposed to be. Sayre has big running backs and we have to make sure we rally to the ball and gang tackle. We need to make the stop at first contact and limit the missed tackles that have allowed opponents to extend the plays and make big gains even when we hit them behind the line."

KEYS TO THE GAME

Sayre - Get pressure on Wiley Trobaugh. Trobaugh has shown he can make good throws, and move the ball through the air when given time. CV was able to disrupt that at times with a strong pass rush.

Wyalusing - Don't give up the big play. The Rams defense will be strong for a few plays, then watch the other team get a big gainer, either for a touchdown or into the Red Zone. They need to finish defensive possessions.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Hudson Malanoski, Sayre, RB - Malanoski does a little bit of everything for Sayre, and Wyalusing will need to know where he is at all times.

Andrew Taylor, Wyalusing, WR - Taylor was out for a few weeks but now that he's back he gives the Rams another weapon in the passing game.
