ATHENS — Troy girls soccer suffered their first NTL loss in several years as they fell at Athens, 4-1, Tuesday.

The Wildcats led 2-0 at the half, then saw Troy cut it to 2-1. However, Athens responded right after that, then got a goal late to seal the win.

Haylie Grove had the Trojan goal with 26:01 left in the second half.

Brinley Nichols had the two first half Athens goals. They made it a 2-goal game again with a score at 20:28, then got the final goal with eight minutes to play.

Troy out shot Athens 24-12, with the Wildcats getting a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.

Izzy Renzi had five saves for Troy.
